This 15-unit qualification provides the skills and knowledge required for high school students and under 18’s who are seeking a pathway to employment in roles within the conservation sector. This introductory course combines native plant and fauna knowledge with general horticulture and is suitable for a person commencing in the eco-industry undertaking a school-based traineeship. This 16-unit qualification will provide the skills and knowledge required for persons who are working as a soil conservation specialist, national parks and wildlife officer or Indigenous lands worker. This entry-level qualification is most suitable for a person with minimal experience in the conservation or ecological sustainability industries undertaking a work-based traineeship.
